Dave brings over 30 years of experience leading medical device organizations and development projects spanning surgical, clinical, and home-use products. As VP of Engineering at Suntra (formerly Sunrise Labs), he oversees the Project Management, Electrical, Mechanical, Verification, and User-Centered Design teams. He defines and executes best-in-class procedures and tools to ensure Suntra is an agile, efficient partner—making certain projects are properly staffed, teams are well-trained, and every engineer has access to the resources needed for successful outcomes.
His project experience extends from concept through product launch across a wide range of technologies, including stress echocardiography, image-guided surgery, intra-operative imaging, radiation oncology, dialysis, diabetes care, intra-operative monitors, connected devices, blood processing, and robotics.
Dave’s expertise spans project management of electromechanical devices, embedded software, Linux applications, high-volume disposables, and mobile applications, including work on volumetric delivery systems and precision patient positioning systems. He holds several patents for a home-use peritoneal dialysis device and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University.
