The Challenge

PARI set out to develop an advanced humidification system to improve patient comfort and therapy outcomes in respiratory care. As a Class II medical device, the system required precise control of heat and humidity while minimizing condensation issues and cost in the disposable components. PARI turned to Suntra MedTech Solutions to lead full-cycle development, from concept through FDA submission.

The Solution

Suntra engineered the PARI Hydrate, a fully integrated electromechanical system that moistens air before it enters the patient’s airway. A proximal heating element and sensor detect water vapor and relay real-time data to the controller, which modulates a peristaltic pump for optimized delivery. Using a novel nested PID loop control system, Suntra solved long-standing condensation and heat regulation challenges while maintaining a low-cost disposable design. The innovative approach was patented by the client. We also supported regulatory submission and guided the design through manufacturing transfer.

The Impact

The PARI Hydrate system delivered a significant advancement in humidification therapy, offering high performance, low maintenance, and improved patient experience. With FDA submission complete and design transferred for production, PARI is now positioned to bring smarter, more efficient respiratory care solutions to market.
