A diagnostics company set out to create a secure, cloud-enabled at-home testing platform to help individuals easily detect infectious diseases like influenza A/B. Suntra was brought in to help develop a HIPAA-compliant companion app that would support a seamless user experience while meeting rigorous clinical and regulatory standards. Midway through development, the COVID-19 pandemic radically shifted both urgency and opportunity demanding a rapid pivot to support a new use case and chemistry.

Suntra MedTech Solutions re-engineered the platform to accommodate a COVID-19 assay, overhauling key elements of the system, software architecture, and user workflow while maintaining security, usability, and performance. The reimagined platform launched successfully with support for influenza A/B and secured CE Mark approval for COVID-19 testing in Europe. With a flexible, cloud-connected system in place, the client positioned itself as a leader in accessible at-home diagnosticsn delivering peace of mind to users and clinical value to healthcare systems.
